DOTHAN — Parishioners filled the parking lot of St. Columba Parish in Dothan on April 30 for a “Parade of Love” benefit for those in need during these uncertain times.
Families enjoyed waving to their favorite religious ed teachers, church staff, as well as Pastor Fr. Patrick Gallagher and Parochial Vicar Fr. Jose Paillacho, from their vehicles and also had the opportunity to drop off food and monetary donations which go directly to bless the hungry.
The parade was an uplifting event for the parish community amidst all the worry and isolation the COVID-19 has brought and reminded parish families they are not alone and we can still find creative and safe ways to serve those who need help most.
